Pembelton Sweeps Twin Late Model Features at South Boston Speedway

SOUTH BOSTON, Va. – Landon Pembelton turned in a dominant performance, winning both 75-lap A Features in the Late Model Stock Car division during the racing program at South Boston Speedway on May 30, 2026.

In A Feature 1, Pembelton started on the pole in the No. 0 car and led all 75 laps to score the victory. Trevor Ward finished second in the No. 77W, followed by Conner Weddell in third in the No. 8W. Peyton Sellers placed fourth, Brandon Lopez fifth, Bobby McCarty sixth, Blake Stallings seventh, Sam Butler eighth, Andrew Grady ninth, John Goin 10th, Carson Haislip 11th, and Zach Peregoy 12th.

Pembelton then started 10th in A Feature 2 and charged to the front once again, taking the checkered flag. Conner Weddell finished second, Blake Stallings third, Bobby McCarty fourth, Trevor Ward fifth, Andrew Grady sixth, Sam Butler seventh, John Goin eighth, Brandon Lopez ninth, Carson Haislip 10th, Zach Peregoy 11th, and Peyton Sellers 12th.

The Limited Sportsman division ran two 30-lap A Features. Tristan Brunelli in the No. 18B took the win in A Feature 1. Brian Rundstrom finished second in the No. 88R, followed by Bob Davis in third, Collin Hilton fourth, Beverly Peregoy fifth, Austin Dettor sixth, Drew Dawson seventh, Eric Winslow eighth, Tucker Jones ninth, Ross Mountcasel 10th, Dennis Holdren 11th, Nathan Crews 12th, Cameron Goble 13th, Dan Rogers 14th, Justin Dawson 15th, Landon McGowan 16th, Trace Daniel III 17th, Adam Murray 18th, and Stuart Crews 19th.

In A Feature 2, Brian Rundstrom started third and drove to victory in the No. 88R. Dan Rogers charged from 15th to second, Austin Dettor finished third, Tristan Brunelli fourth, Adam Murray fifth, Drew Dawson sixth, Ross Mountcasel seventh, Justin Towler eighth, Beverly Peregoy ninth, Bob Davis 10th, Collin Hilton 11th, Tucker Jones 12th, Landon McGowan 13th, Eric Winslow 14th, Cameron Goble 15th, Justin Dawson 16th, and Trace Daniel III 17th. Dennis Holdren and Nathan Crews were listed as DNS.

In the Pure Stock 25-lap A Feature, Johnny Layne in the No. 9 took the victory. Jarrett Johnson finished second in the No. 88, Caleb Sanford third, Dillon Davis fourth, Jay Hemenway fifth, Zach Reaves sixth, Barry Reaves seventh, Jacob Sanford eighth, Joe Allred III ninth, Anna Mayo 10th, and Kendall Milam 11th.

The Hornets 20-lap A Feature was won by Landon Milam, who started 12th in the No. 83. Jason DeCarlo finished second in the No. 54, Kristian Armstead third, Christian Sangillo fourth, Chris Penick fifth, Cameron Moss sixth, Charles Clardy seventh, Drake Clardy eighth, Andrea Ruotolo ninth, Kendall Milam 10th, and Steven Layne 11th. Nicholas Sykes was disqualified after starting on pole in the No. 8.
