Racing Recap: High-Entry Autocross Action at TRIAD Event 2

Greensboro, NC – April 12, 2026 – TRIAD Autocross hosted its second event of the 2026 season on Saturday, drawing a strong field of 160 registered competitors, with 148 posting official times on the challenging course. The sunny spring day delivered fast runs and tight battles across more than two dozen Street, Prepared, and Modified classes at the regional autocross venue.

In the competitive Pro Class (16 entries), Andrew Aul (#37, 2023 Mazda Miata) took the overall index win with a blistering best run of 44.300, securing the top spot ahead of Brett Caine (#81, 2020 Mazda Miata) and Eric Peterson (#84, 2003 Toyota Spyder). Aul’s performance also earned him the Index Time of Day honors.

Several drivers posted standout results in their respective classes:

  • A Street (5 entries): Morgan Mehler (#131, 2017 Porsche Boxster) dominated with a 47.511 best run.
  • B Street (4 entries): Jennifer Bedell (#184, 2021 Toyota Supra) claimed victory and earned Street Time of Day honors with a 45.860.
  • X Prepared (4 entries): Jacques Bene (#157, 1992 Mazda Miata) flew to a 42.819, taking Prepared Time of Day.
  • Kart Modified (3 entries): Justin Schaeffer (#187, Koenigsegg Kosmic Shifter Kart) set the Raw Time of Day with an incredible 41.131, the fastest run of the event.
  • C Street Touring (9 entries): Matthew Park (#100, 2023 Subaru BRZ) posted a strong 45.109 for the win and Street Touring Time of Day.
  • C Street Prepared: Chris Cranford (#71, 2022 Mazda MX-5) led with a 44.732.

Additional class winners included:

  • Classic American Muscle Traditional (11 entries): Jinx Jordan (#93, 1991 Chevrolet Camaro) with 45.550.
  • Xtreme Street A: Mackenzie Snyder (#14, 1991 GMC Syclone) edged out the field at 46.253.
  • Street Modified: Sumpter Smith IV (#56, 1991 BMW 318i).
  • Classic American Muscle Classic: James Phipps (#10, 2018 Dodge Challenger).

The event highlighted the diversity of the TRIAD autocross community, with everything from high-powered muscle cars and karts to nimble Miatas and daily drivers competing side-by-side. Clean runs were the order of the day, as competitors chased hundredths of a second in the cone-lined course.
